Bet365 Review 2025: Is It the World's Best Sportsbook?
We've used Bet365 for years across multiple markets. Here's an honest, detailed review of the sportsbook, casino, live streaming, and everything in between.
Bet365 is the most used online gambling site in the world. 90 million registered customers. Licensed in 15+ regulated markets. Founded in Stoke-on-Trent in 2000 by Denise Coates, who reportedly still owns the majority of the company and whose net worth now exceeds £7 billion.
Numbers like that either mean you're genuinely the best, or you've done an incredible marketing job. After years of active use across the sportsbook, casino, and live betting, here's our honest verdict.
The Sportsbook
Markets: This is where Bet365 genuinely leads the world. The number of sports, leagues, and markets available at any given moment is extraordinary. Not just Premier League — we're talking Ecuadorian Serie A, Vietnamese V.League, Finnish Veikkausliiga, and hundreds of other competitions with pre-match and in-play markets. If it's a professional sport being played somewhere in the world, Bet365 almost certainly has it.
Odds: Competitive but not the best. For major markets (Premier League, Champions League, major tennis), Bet365's margins are around 5-7%, which is in line with the market. Betfair Exchange consistently beats Bet365 on pure price. However, Bet365's "Price Rush" feature sometimes offers better than SP (starting price) on horse racing, which adds genuine value.
In-Play: The live betting platform is exceptional. Fast updates, minimal glitches, and markets that keep going when other books suspend. The cash-out function works reliably — it can be slow during high-volume moments (Sunday afternoon football), but it's among the best in the market.
Live Streaming: The headline feature. 150,000+ events streamed per year — more than any other bookmaker. To access streams, you need to have a funded account or have placed a recent bet. The streams are generally good quality for football; lower-tier sports and tennis can be patchy depending on the source.
The Casino
The casino section is solid if not spectacular. 500+ games, an excellent live casino with Evolution Gaming tables (speed baccarat, Lightning Roulette, and Monopoly Live are all present), and a jackpot section with progressive slots.
What the casino benefits from most is the unified wallet. Your betting account and casino account are one — no need to transfer funds between sections, and withdrawal requests cover your entire balance from one request.
Mobile App
The Bet365 app is consistently ranked #1 in the UK App Store for sports betting. The interface is clean and well-organised — perhaps slightly less slick than FanDuel or DraftKings for US users, but clearly designed by a team that understands how bettors think. The in-play betting section is particularly well executed on mobile, with fast page loads even during live events.
Withdrawals
The withdrawal experience varies significantly by payment method. PayPal and Neteller typically process in minutes — we've had withdrawals credited in under five minutes on multiple occasions. Visa debit withdrawals take 1-3 working days. Bank transfers (CHAPS/BACS) take 3-5 days.
There are no withdrawal fees from Bet365's side. However, your payment provider may charge for certain transaction types.
Account Restrictions
The biggest downside to Bet365 — consistent winners often find their accounts restricted. If you beat the market consistently over 3-6 months, you may find stakes limited to £10-£50 per bet. This is industry-wide, not a Bet365 exclusive issue, but it's worth noting for sharp bettors.
Verdict
For recreational bettors: Bet365 is the easy first recommendation. The breadth of markets, live streaming, and app quality make it the best all-round experience available. 9/10.
For serious bettors: Use Bet365 for its market coverage and streaming, but keep a Betfair Exchange account for better odds on key bets. 7/10 for pricing alone.
For casino players: Good but not great. LeoVegas or Casumo offer a better pure casino experience. 8/10 as part of a combined sportsbook/casino account.
